While French Guiana is gifted with a "piece" of amazonian forest as big as Portugal, since the closure of the sole wild mammals care center, in July 2006, not a single place was entitled to take in charge wild mammals in difficulty (the exception being Chou-Aï, association for care and protection of the sloths).
To fill in this gap, Kinkajou Association is currently building in the north-east part of French Guiana a new care center for wild mammals in difficulty.
At the time being, rescued animals are sheltered in Rémire-Montjoly, until construction of the new care center is achieved.

Located in Kaw woods , the care center will offer the environment animals needs to heal and get ready to be freed.
Beginning of 2007, Kinkajou Association has acquired 25 hectares of ground in Kaw Woods, where the clinic, the office, enclosures and cages will stand.
Of course, it means a lot of work ahead of us and a lot of money to find.
So, if you want to help wild faln of Amazonia by supporting our association, do not hesitate to join us!
